We’ll always remember this place because right there in the family room is where he proposed

Well, the many other comments about the windy narrow roads and steep driveway were spot on. Our rental SUV had an elevation and climb setting…most of the hills were easy, about 5-8 degrees. The driveway…22 degrees that required a hard right so you definitely need 4-WD or AWD like the email instructions tell you but only about a day in advance. Beautiful drive up the mountain with gorgeous views yet the narrowness of the roads caused a little panic, especially after dark. The property was just as described and had all of the amenities listed. I rated it a 4 in cleanliness because I’m that person that notices everything. I had to wipe someone else’s hair out of the shower and off the bathroom floor. Noticed some cob webs and also unsure if the blankets and bedspread get washed after other users. Sheets didn’t fit the mattress well so they came untucked or rolled up off the mattress. Other than those items everything was fine. We appreciated the taller shower head, the coziness and decor of the cabin, and the many other amenities we simply didn’t have time to use (porch swing, grill, upstairs balcony). Overall though it was a great place to stay. We were unable to leave our story in the guest book because it was full. We’ll always remember this place because right there in the family room is where he proposed. One other note, Google Maps worked fine for us. We took the Bypass to our cabin and a back way into Gatlinburg saving tons of time from sitting in traffic.
